Sustainable plants for renewable energy

Renewable energy explained

Renewable energy sources originate from Nature. For this reason they are not harmful to the environment, they are not exhaustible and can be automatically regenerated, unlike non-renewable sources such as coal, oil and natural gas, which are not regenerated after consumption.

The main types of sustainable plants for the production of renewable energy are:

  • Hydroelectric
  • Wind
  • Solar
  • Geothermal

The role of Romei Group

Our company has always believed and invested in sustainable plants and has a long-standing commitment to building this type of systems.

Our service in this field stands out for a number of reasons: we carry out all phases of construction works, as well as electromechanical and system engineering installations autonomously. Moreover, we’re certified by Enel for the construction of both overhead and underground power lines that are necessary for the activation of the service and the transport to the distribution network.

We operate at a national and international level for the production of renewable energy from hydroelectric power plants, wind farms and geothermal and photovoltaic systems.

Leaders in the geothermal sector

We have been building geothermal plants at great depths for over 10 years.

In addition to the production of renewable energy, geothermal plants have many applications in the public and private construction field for the installation of heating and cooling systems.

This technology makes it possible to build heating and cooling systems that tap into the hit of the subsoil, allowing for clear and realistic calculations of the amortization times.

We built our first geothermal plant in 2010 for the heating and cooling system of our headquarters, still fully functional, as well as other plants throughout Italy.

Geothermal plants are an alternative to traditional heating and cooling systems for houses, offices or industrial warehouses.

Construction works for hydroelectric plants and wind farms

Construction works for hydroelectric plants and wind farms include:

  • excavations and earthworks
  • overhead and underground power lines owned by the producer and power lines to be owned by the distributor
  • demolitions
  • penstocks and free surface channels, riverbed streamflow deviation works
  • drillings for special foundations
  • Civil construction in reinforced concrete
  • Dewatering systems of any kind
  • Tree planting and restoration of the construction sites
  • Plant maintainance

Hydroelectric plants

Committed to transforming water into energy.

Watercourses, blocked by a dam or a crossbeam, is funneled towards water turbines that, by rotating, produce electric power.

A rotating electric generator converts it into electric power, so that it can be used in an external circuit.

We build efficient and reliable hydroelectric plants, with highly specialized hydraulic engineering works.

Wind farms

Wind farms play a predominant role in the production of renewable energy. The blades convey the energy that is produced to the transformation cabins and are then linked to the national power grid.

Photovoltaic systems

We build systems for the production of renewable energy through the installation of photovoltaic panels.
